Petrol price cut by 12 paisas, diesel by 66 paisas per litre

The federal government has reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel under the revised petroleum pricing mechanism, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy’s Petroleum Division.

The price of petrol has been lowered by 12 paisas per litre, bringing it down from Rs336.15 to Rs336.03 per litre.

The price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by 66 paisas per litre, from Rs393.04 to Rs392.38 per litre.

The revised prices will take effect from midnight and remain applicable from August 1 to August 3, 2026.

The notification said the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority revised the ex-depot prices in accordance with the federal government’s new petroleum pricing mechanism.
