Reconciliation confirmed! Dr Nabiha and husband Haris decide to stay together
After weeks of public allegations, legal proceedings, and intense social media scrutiny, psychologist and media personality Dr Nabiha Ali Khan and her husband Haris Khokhar have officially confirmed that they have reconciled, bringing an end at least for now to one of the most talked about marital controversies on social media.
A viral video circulating online shows the couple travelling together in a car, where they addressed the speculation surrounding their relationship and confirmed that they had resolved their differences.
Speaking in the video, Dr Nabiha clarified that the divorce process had never been finalized.
"Meri aur mere shohar ki sulah ho chuki hai. Meri aur mere husband ki ek talaq ka notice tha. Wo talaq nahi hoti. Us ke baad sulah ki gunjaish hoti hai," she said, explaining that a single divorce notice still allows room for reconciliation under Islamic law.
Haris Khokhar also confirmed the development, revealing that both had held detailed discussions before reaching a mutual understanding.
"Hamari detail mein baat hui. Hamari sulah ho gai hai. Ab kal baith kar kuch tehriri faisla kiya jayega. Terms and conditions par mutafiqa faisla kar ke aap ko bata diya jayega ke aage kya hoga," he stated.
The reconciliation comes after weeks of highly publicized marital conflict that dominated online discussions.
Earlier, Dr Nabiha had approached a Lahore family court seeking khula (judicial dissolution of marriage), citing irreconcilable differences and serious allegations against her husband. Around the same time, Haris Khokhar revealed that he had issued a single talaq notice, while both parties appeared in multiple podcast interviews and on social media, making strong accusations against one another.
The dispute escalated as the former couple publicly shared conflicting accounts of their marriage, with both sides leveling serious allegations that sparked widespread debate across social media. Their interviews quickly went viral, dividing public opinion and drawing significant attention.
A few days ago, however, Dr Nabiha officially withdrew her khula petition after informing the Lahore Family Court that the couple had reached an out-of-court settlement through mutual understanding. The court subsequently dismissed the petition following her request.
Now, with both Dr Nabiha and Haris Khokhar publicly confirming that they have reconciled, the couple appears ready to move forward. Haris has also hinted that a written agreement outlining mutually accepted terms and conditions will soon be finalized, after which they plan to update the public regarding the future of their marriage.
