Sangeeta reveals Moammar Rana’s fee for Mukho
Veteran filmmaker and actress Sangeeta has clarified that actor Moammar Rana is being paid Rs 5 lakh per day for her upcoming Punjabi film Mukho, and that puts his fee at around Rs 40 lakh for eight days of work.
Speaking about the actor, Sangeeta said Moammar Rana is like a son to her and that she would never offer him an amount below what she believes he deserves.
She also praised his past work, particularly his blockbuster Choorian and expressed hope that Mukho will help mark his comeback to the big screen.
The film recently came under discussion after a behind-the-scenes rehearsal clip featuring Sangeeta and Moammar Rana circulated on social media.
The footage showed the two rehearsing an intimate sequence from the film, which prompted mixed reactions from viewers.
Mukho is an upcoming Punjabi-language film directed by Sangeeta and is being produced under a Punjab government initiative aimed at supporting regional cinema.
Saima Noor will play the titular role, while Moammar Rana, Meera, Amina Roy, Nasir Chinioti, Momi and Talash Shah are also part of the cast.
The film is currently expected to hit cinemas in December 2026 and is being closely watched as a major new project for Punjabi cinema.
