Electric bus service hits roads in Karachi

The electric bus service has hit the roads in Karachi on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The bus commenced its first trip from Sohrab Goth Terminal at 7:00 am and successfully completed its one-hour journey to the main terminal in Karachi.
The Electric Bus Project was initiated under Public Private Partnership, by Sindh Transport Minister Qadir Shah.
The fare for this bus having 37 seats is fixed at Rs4 per kilometre.
Passengers were amazed to see the green automatic doors and electronic ticketing service of the bus.
The Sindh government has announced to increase the number of these buses to 100 by the end of the year.
