Mufti Salimullah Khan shot, injured in Karachi attack

A religious scholar was shot and injured in a Karachi attack on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Mufti Salimullah Khan was travelling in a car when it was fired upon by identified gunmen in Karachi’s North Nazimabad area.
Two motorcycles were involved in the attack. One was wearing a helmet and the other was put on a facemask.
Mufti Salimullah received two bullets and was shifted to Ziauddin Hospital where doctors carried out surgery on him. Later, his condition was described as stable.
SSP West Sahaye Aziz told newsmen one bullet penetrated into Mufti Salimullah’s abdomen after brushing his hand.
The SSP said the incident could be a target killing or personal enmity. He said Mufti Salimullah Khan ran a seminary in MPR Colony of Orangi Town.
