The government is going to make a slight cut in the prices of petroleum products from Thursday, April 1.

A summary for a cut in the prices of petroleum products has been sent to Prime Minister Imran Khan and he will decide on Wednesday whether to slash the petrol and diesel prices or not.

According to sources, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has proposed a Rs1.50 per litre cut in the price of petrol, Rs3 per litre in the price of diesel and Rs2.50 per litre in the price of kerosene oil. Sources say that petrol and diesel prices will remain unchanged if the government increased the petroleum levy tax.
