Islamabad Police submit fresh challan in case in which Imran Khan had been acquitted

What can be described as a strange incident, Islamabad Police on Tuesday submitted in a court a new challan in the case in which the former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan had already been acquitted, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The court, however, disposed of the case in light of the previous verdict.

Judicial Magistrate Shahzad Khan heard the case.

Advocate Sardar Masroof Khan and Zahid Bashir Dar appeared in the court on behalf of the PTI founder.

Speaking during the hearing, Advocate Masroof said that for the first time in judicial history, a new challan was submitted in the case in which the suspect had already been given a clean chit.

The judge asked Imran’s lawyers to present the court’s order in which the former prime minister had been exonerated.

The lawyers showed to the judge the order.

Following which, the court disposed of the case.

A case had been registered against Imran in Azadi March case at Tarnol police station of the federal capital.
