In a high-tech move, Lahore police equipped with body cams
The Lahore police department has clipped the body-worn cameras (or body-cam in short) to the uniform of its police officials being deputed at the entry and exit points of the city, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The city police which are going high-tech have allowed the use of body cams clipped on the uniform of the police officials who are working at the entry and exit points of the city.
Initially, 38 body cams will be provided and their monitoring will be conducted at the offices of Safe City Authority and the DIG Operations, Lahore.
The law enforcement authorities will keep an eye on the checking standard, performance and behavior of the officials. Besides this, live monitoring and live talk could also be held with the officials and authorities will be able to remove the complaints of bribery and rude behavior by the police cops.
