Malaysia’s budget airline AirAsia begins flight operations to Karachi

Malaysia’s leading low-cost airline, AirAsia X, has officially commenced its operations in Karachi, Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The inaugural flight from Kuala Lumpur landed at Jinnah International Airport yesterday, carrying 315 passengers.

The launch of this new route marks a major milestone, as it enhances connectivity between Malaysia and Pakistan, offering an affordable travel option for passengers traveling between the two countries.

AirAsia X is known globally for its cost-effective long-haul services, and Karachi has now become its latest destination in South Asia.

Upon arrival, the passengers and crew were given a warm reception by the airport authorities and airline representatives at Jinnah International.

To mark the occasion, the Pakistan Airports Authority presented a traditional water cannon salute, a symbolic gesture used to welcome inaugural flights.

According to airline officials, AirAsia X will operate four weekly flights between Karachi and Kuala Lumpur, providing Pakistani travelers with greater flexibility and convenience when flying to Malaysia or onward to other international destinations via AirAsia’s extensive network.
