Maryam announces medical college in Layyah

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Friday announced establishment of a medical college in Layyah.

Addressing a Honhaar Scholarships and Laptops distribution ceremony in Layyah, she said that efforts are being made to ensure that no child is deprived of technology and education.

The chief minister said that Rs110 billion have been allocated for the uplift of education sector, construction of class rooms and provision of missing facilities in educational institutions of the province.

She announced the grant of Rs1.5 billion each for Layyah and Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan.

Earlier, she distributed laptops and scholarships among the students of Layyah.
