PPP MPAs call on President Zardari in Lahore
Members of the Punjab Assembly (MPAs), belonging to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), met with President Asif Ali Zardari in Lahore on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The MPAs briefed the president on the issues confronting the masses and their solution.
On Friday, Federal Communications Minister Aleem Khan called on President Asif Ali Zaradi at the Governor’s House in Lahore.
During the meeting, the minister took up the matters related to betterment in basic infrastructure, development schemes under his ministry, with the president.
President Zardari stressed the need for harmony among all the state organs so that the country could progress.
He praised Aleem’s efforts to bring in betterment. Aleem reiterated his resolve to continue with efforts for public welfare.
Meanwhile, PPP women leaders Rana Nasira Shaukat and Dr Fareed Zakria called on President Zardari and discussed issues related to women empowerment, education and provision of equal opportunities for women.
On the occasion, President Zardari said the role of women, elders and youth is central in the development of Pakistan. He said a strong society is one that promotes its values, education and social service.
