Man shot dead near Baldia school in Karachi 

A man was shot dead in Karachi's Baldia area after unidentified assailants opened fire near a local school and restaurant, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

According to rescue officials, the incident occurred near a municipal school close to Allah Wala Nihari House in Baldia. 

Rescue teams reached the scene and confirmed that one person had died as a result of the shooting.

The rescue team said efforts were under way to establish the identity of the deceased. 

The body was later shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities and further examination.

Police said preliminary investigations suggest that the killing may have stemmed from personal enmity. 

However, officers stressed that the exact motive had not yet been determined and that inquiries were continuing.
