PTI Kashmir gives ticket to two candidates for same UC seat

In an interesting move, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has nominated two candidates for same union council seat in the forthcoming local government elections of Azad Jammu Kashmir.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, PTI issued tickets to Shehbaz Butt and Tabark Mir at the same time for contesting the local body election from a seat, Chernari union council, Goi Khas, Kotli district.  

PTI leaders of Azad Jammu Kashmir had alerted when the tickets of both candidates got viral on social media.

It is pertinent that a party has to issue a ticket to only one candidate against one constituency.

The party leaders clarified that the tickets were issued to two candidates by mistake. Actually, the ticket was given to one candidate who gave it to another, they said.
