Pakistan’s official political map with Occupied Kashmir its part unveiled

PM orders FBR to set up a portal carrying details of all taxpayers

Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a federal cabinet meeting on Tuesday which gave approval to the official political map of Islamic Republic of Pakistan that shown Occupied Jammu Kashmir (IOJ&K) as part of Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The new official map will be presented to the United Nations, the TV channel said.

Prime Minister Imran Khan congratulated the cabinet members on the approval of Pakistan’s political map determining the geographical boundaries of the country.

Prime Minister Imran Khan after the cabinet meeting in a television address said, “Today is the most important day in history. Today we have issued the map and this will be the map of Pakistan from now onwards.”

Imran Khan said, “We believe in political struggle and a political solution like Pakistan will keep on reminding the United Nations about the Kashmir solution. We do not believe in military solutions. I believe Pakistan will achieve liberation of Kashmir one day.”

According to the TV channel, the federal cabinet also gave approval to the appointment of Deputy Governor State Bank of Pakistan Sima Kamil.

The TV channel quoting its sources said Prime Minister Imran Khan had instructed the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) officials to set up a portal immediately. The PM said that tax records of cabinet members, members of parliament and the business community should be uploaded on the web portal and tax details of ordinary taxpayers should also be brought to the fore on the portal.

The Cabinet also gave approval to the appointment of Chief Executive Officer of Ministry of Information and Technology (MoIT) Universal Service Fund (USF).

An appointment of Pakistan Council of Research and Water Services Chairman was also approved during the meeting.

Pakistan International Airlines’ Regular Public Transport (RPT), Airier Work and Chartered Licence have also been renewed.

The federal cabinet also gave approval to the charter for Pakistan Global Institute Rawat (PGIR) and reconstituted board of Korangi Fisheries Harbour Authority (KFHA).

The cabinet was briefed on the performance of the National Information Technology Board, outstanding dues of the media houses, economic growth and economic indicators. A report pertaining to institutional reforms was also presented before the cabinet members.
