Farewell in the honour of Prof Rana Dilawaiz Nadeem held at KEMU

Farewell in the honour of Prof Rana Dilawaiz Nadeem was hosted under the chair of Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical University, Lahore.

Member Syndicate MPA Dr Mazhar Iqbal Chaudary, Prof. Amir Aziz, Prof. Kazi Muhammad Saeed, Prof. Saqib Saeed, Prof. Ashraf Nizami, MS Mayo hospital Dr Iftikhar Ahmad and other distinguished orthopaedic surgeons, teachers and young doctors attended the farewell.

Prof Khalid Masood Gondal. Vice Chancellor KEMU said: "I congratulate him on honorable way of retirement. Prof. Dilawaiz is a role model and his research and academics are exemplary for both doctors and patients. He actively participated in KEMU as a member and trained hundreds of postgraduate doctors. He further added service to ailing humanity is the way to achieve success in this world and hereafter. Prof. Dilawaiz played a pivotal role in the training orthopaedic surgeons.”

Prof Amir Aziz said " It is an honour for me to come here as KEMCOLIAN. A good teacher produces good students as Prof. Dilawaiz did. His services in orthopaedic are countless and I wish him happy life ahead."

Member of Syndicate KEMU MPA Dr. Mazhar Iqbal Chaudary in his speech said: "Prof. Dilawaiz is my class fellow and he is well disciplined, kind hearted and soft spoken person. He never hurt anyone. Everyone should follow footsteps of Prof. Rana Dilawaiz Nadeem. I wish him happy and long life.”

President PMA Prof. Ashraf Nizami said: "Prof. Dilawaiz is a clean man and a role model should be like that. Prof. Dilawaiz has achieved peak in orthopaedic expertise and has thousands of other good qualities."

Ex-Vice Chancellor KEMU Prof. Kazi Muhammad Saeed said: "On retirement a person comes to know that he has good qualities which he didn't know himself before. He prayed that Prof. Dilawaiz services in orthopaedics will be continued in future."

Prof Rana Dilawaiz said:" I am thankful to VC KEMU Professor Khalid Masood Gondal and all those who arranged the farewell in my honour from the core of my heart. I am also thankful to Professor Naseer Mehmood Akhter, Professor Amir Aziz, Professor Shabbir Ahmad (late), Prof. Faisal Masood (late). I worked with Professor Faisal Masood in Services hospital and later he brought me in KEMU which was my dream and an honour. I am thankful to academic council and also to the students who learn a little from me. I pray that I shall continue my services in future for students and ailing humanity"
