At a time when the country is going through a financial crisis and the government ministers are often seen making it an excuse for burdening the people with taxes and abolishing subsidies, the Punjab government, on the other hand, which already has received 20 vehicles for its ministers, has now received five more, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.  

These new cars will be given to those five ministers who have only recently taken the oath of their office.

It is worth-pointing out here that the provincial government had placed an order for 46 cars for the ministers.

On the other hand, the Punjab government has refused to give 24 cars to the minerals department. 

The department had requested for these vehicles for its field staff, but the government, instead, asked it to settle for just two.
