Pakistan Democratic Movement President has said that no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan has been drafted and the union of opposition parties has the majority, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

Talking to the media after his meeting with former president Asif Ali Zardari, Fazl said PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif joined them over the phone.

The no-trust motion and the ongoing political situation came under discussion and the consultations entered the final stages.

The no-confidence motion against PM Imran Khan will be tabled in a couple of days, said Fazl.

Flanked by Asif Ali Zardari, he told the media Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is on a journey and he is oblivious of these developments.

The allies are likely to join the no-confidence motion, he said. Shehbaz Sharif invited the Chaudhrys to dinner, he said and questioned as to why Chaudhrys won’t attend.

Fazl said the real task is to get the lawmakers to the parliament safe and sound.

“We will safely take our members to the parliament. We will raise the matter at national as well as international forums so that no state could recognize Imran Khan as the Pakistani representative,” he added.

Earlier, a joint statement was released, saying talks with all the stakeholders are on and the final date to table the no-trust motion will be announced in a couple of days.

During the meeting, the leaders of opposition parties discussed the no-trust motion, the ongoing political situation and the plan entered final stage. The meeting of constitutional and legal experts has been held and the majority is with the PDM.

Reportedly, the draft prepared by the joint opposition against the PM Imran Khan-led government pleaded there is political and financial instability and uncertainty in the country and the leader of the House has lost the confidence of the majority.

The foreign policy has failed, therefore, a no-confidence motion and recusal can be filed at any time. Reports of requisition for an assembly session are too being aired.
