Afghan-origin terrorists have been implicated in supporting Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in the recent wave of terrorist attacks in Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

According to a detailed report, six TTP militants, hailing from Afghanistan, met their demise in North Waziristan on February 28, 2024.

The slain terrorists were identified as Muhammad Anwar, son of Angoor Khan, from Khost; Hamza and Farman from Logar; Shabir Jan, also known as Abid, from Khost; Gul Jan from Paktika; and Talha, alias Zarar.

 During the operation, local sources confirmed the death of a suicide bomber, further underlining the Afghan origin of the militants involved in the attacks on Pakistani soil.

In addition, 16-year-old alleged suicide bomber Abid Ullah son of Jamal, a resident of Tir Tangi, North Waziristan, is also included among the dead terrorists.

The utilization of TTP by Afghan citizens in perpetrating terrorist activities against Pakistan raises significant concerns and questions the claims of the Afghan Interim Government regarding counterterrorism efforts.

It has been observed that TTP's reliance on Afghan nationals is escalating with each passing day, posing a serious threat to Pakistan.

In response to these developments, the Afghan Interim Government is urged to implement concrete and sincere measures to prevent its citizens from engaging in terrorist activities targeting Pakistan.

 Furthermore, the international community is called upon to play a proactive role in curbing the activities of Afghan terrorists operating within Pakistan's borders.
