Former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has rubbished the family rift rumours, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Wednesday.

“I pray the Almighty may guide those who spread such rumours,” the PML-Q chief said while addressing an event in Gujrat.

He continued:  “Nothing will come of it. Politicians must attach priority to public welfare.

“We will not support the wrongdoers. We will correct whatever wrong we have done. “ He said troublemakers will land in trouble.

Reportedly, Punjab Assembly Speaker Parvez Elahi seconded Chaudhry Shujaat saying they were united in the past and they are united in the present.

The elements behind spreading rumors will be disappointed, the PML-Q leadership said, adding that the family has been in politics for the last 50 years and going for discourse before taking a decision.
