An MPA and his men allegedly tortured to death a man in Mamon Goth who forbade some foreigners from hunting houbara bustards and made a video of their illegal hunting. The man later uploaded the video on social media allegedly angering the foreign hunters and their influential local hosts, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Reportedly, Nazim Jhokio, aged 30, happened to come across some foreigners who were hunting houbara bustard. He told them that it was illegal to hunt this bird down. But they continued with their hunting game. Nazim made a recording of it and later uploaded it on social media.

After some while, Nazim was abducted and his tortured body was found in a farmhouse of MPA Jam Awais Gohram Jhokio in Murad Goth, Malir. There were bruises and abrasions on his body.

The doctors did not confirm the cause of his death as yet. The medico legal officer stated that he could confirm the cause of death after getting chemical and pathology report. Dr Areeb took two samples from Nazim’s body and sent them to laboratory for medical examination.

According to the doctor, after seeing marks of torture on victim’s body, it was obvious that a man’s body could not bear so much torture.

Meanwhile, the relatives of slain Nazim Jhokio put his body on the National Highway and protested against PPP MPA Jam Awais whom they accused of killing him. They raised slogans against the MPA. Due to their protest, the traffic which was going to Thatta was blocked.

The protesters demanded the arrest of the accused. They said Nazim’s funeral prayers would be offered on the National Highway.
