PAC Chairman asks politicians to sit at negotiation table

Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Chairman Noor Alam Khan has said politicians setting aside their egos should sit at the negotiation table to promote tolerance in society as it is the need of the hour.  

Talking to the 24NewsHD exclusively, he shared the details of his meeting with national assembly speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf. He said that they did not have any political talk as Raja Pervaiz Ashraf is a representative of all the political parties. However, he said that the speaker expressed his concerns over the political uncertainty prevailing throughout the country. 

 Noor Alam Khan also called for resolving the issues confronting the country through dialogue, saying there should be no room for wrong happenings in national politics.

He said that politicians should not shut the doors of dialogue.

He urged the journalist community to play its role to improve the country's uncertain political situation. 

PAC Chairman said he believed in the ballot and not the bullet, adding democracy should be based on the constitution and should not follow the establishment line. He said that economy of a country is directly related to its political stability, if the political situation is good, then the country's economy will improve.   Politicians should initiate dialogue to resolve their differences, he asserted.
