A youth named Qamar was tortured to death under Lahore police custody in Quaid-e-Azam Industrial State area, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Father of the deceased youth filed an FIR against six officials including SHO for allegedly torturing his young son to death under Police custody. 

As per the First Information Report (FIR), deceased Qamar died due to the alleged torture subjected by police officials including SHO.

Police have arrested SHO Rehman Khawar, Constable Arshad and Constable Aslam.

The body was shifted to the morgue for post-mortem.

Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Mehmood Dogar took the notice of the incident and sought report from Superintendent of Police (SP) Saddr. 

He directed the concerned authorities to conduct an investigation to probe into the matter.

“A strict and immediate action will be taken against accused if torture is proved in the light of medical report evidence,” said CCPO.
