Cabinet exempts import of corona vaccine from duty, PPRA rules

The Federal Cabinet on Tuesday granted an exemption to import of coronavirus vaccine from any duty and PPRA rules, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The cabinet also approved the reappointment of members of the Press Council of Pakistan (PCP). 

The federal cabinet also approved the Chairman of Expo Center and Board of Directors. 

Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired the meeting of the federal cabinet on Tuesday and vowed to provide justice in the slain Osama Satti and Machh massacre of colliers.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid apprised Prime Minister Imran Khan on the negotiations with the Hazara community that are protesting at Quetta’s Western Bypass placing the dead bodies of slain colliers on roads. 

The Prime Minister said that the families of the coalminers will not be left alone and those who committed wrongdoing will soon meet their fate. 

During the cabinet meeting, Advisor to Prime Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan raised the issue of the killing of a youth in Islamabad and presented the stance of parents of the victim. On this PM Imran Khan expressed grief and said that such ruthless people should not be part of the police.

Imran Khan also vowed the provision of justice in slain youth Usama Satti case who was gunned down by Counter Terrorism Force (CTF) of Islamabad Capital Territory.

Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Shaikh also briefed the Prime Minister about the actions being taken to control the rising inflation. Imran Khan gave directions to control the rising prices of goods and services in the country.

The formation of an inspection committee for registration of fish processing plants was approved; however, approval of decisions of sub-committee of the cabinet on institutional reforms was deferred.
