Dollar, Euro up, pound down against Pakistani rupee

The US dollar registered another 35-paisa raise in its value against the Pakistan rupee on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In inter-bank trading, the dollar touched the Rs160.60 mark but the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said the American currency closed at Rs160.33 at the end of the day.

Euro also rose to Rs196.67 with an increase of 41 paisas. The British pound, however, nosedived by Rs1.15 to Rs217.65.

According to the Exchange Companies Association, the dollar rate in the open market was Rs160.45 with an increase of 25 paisas. Euro rate after registering a one-rupee increase ended the day at Rs196.50 and the British pound finished at Rs217.50 after losing one rupee in value.
