A man shot dead his cousin after his marriage proposal for her was refused by her parents in Pirmehal on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to police, accused Khalid wanted to marry his maternal cousin Musarrat Bibi who was 18-year-old. But the girl’s parents were against the match and refused to give their daughter’s hands to him.

Accused Khalid became incensed when Musarrat’s parents declined his proposal. He brought his pistol and opened fire on her, killing her on the spot. 

After murdering the girl, the accused fled the scene.

Police registered a murder case against Khalid and started investigation.
