Lahore police ‘avenge’ murder of colleague

The police in Lahore on Sunday killed in an encounter a dacoit who was allegedly involved in the murder of police constable Muhammad Ramzan earlier in the premises of Data Darbar Police Station, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

However, two of the slain dacoit’s accomplices managed to flee the encounter. The dead was identified as Abdul Hameed aka Bela, who was wanted in the killing of the police constable.

The accused was also wanted by the Factory Area Police Station. Police have shifted the body to a morgue.

Earlier two jawans of Lahore Police were gunned down in a crossfire while trying to nab dacoits in the Manga Mandi bypass area a few days ago.

Constable Adil Shah and Constable Ibad Dogar embraced martyrdom in the shootout on Tuesday last.
