Bodies of a couple were found in a village on Raiwind Road in the Punjab capital, Lahore, on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Habib and her wife Perveen, residents of Ali Raza Abad.

Police reached the site and took the bodies in custody. The newlyweds might fall prey to honour killing, however, the investigation is on, lawmen said.

Killing in the name of ‘honour’ goes unabated because of weak prosecution and poor policing across the country.

Beheaded bodies of a woman and her daughter were found in Zahir Pir, a city in Rahim Yar Khan district of south Punjab on Monday and the motive behind the gruesome crime was cited as ‘honour’ killing.

The bodies of a couple were found in a house of Malir in Karachi, the capital of Sindh province. A senior policeman said the woman’s brother murdered the couple
