Spokesperson of the US Department of State Matthew Miller expressed a hope that the new Pakistani government has been formed and they will work together.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, US State Department’s spokesman Matthew Miller while talking to media during weekly briefing urged Pakistan to ensure freedom of expression like rest of the world, adding that closure of internet platforms was unacceptable in Pakistan.

Matthew Miller said, "We condemn partial or complete government shutdown on Internet platforms. We support freedom of expression in Pakistan like the rest of the world. Any government shutdown on Internet platforms is unacceptable."

The spokesman of US State Department also urged Pakistani authorities will continue to respect freedom of expression and probe into allegations of various political parties regarding irregularities in results of general elections.
