Pakistani market witnesses big increase in gold prices

The per-tola price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs2750 and was sold at Rs228,150 in the local market on Thursday against its sale of Rs 225,400 on last trading day, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The price of 10 grams of 24-karat also increased by Rs2358 to Rs195,602 from Rs189,643 whereas that of 10-gram 22-karat gold went up to Rs165,902 from Rs165,666, the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.

The price of gold in the international market increased by $26 to $2,174 against its sale at $2,148 the previous day, the Association reported.

The price of per tola and ten-gram silver remained constant at Rs 2,600 and Rs 2,229.08 respectively.
