Sindh NADRA involved in issuing fake CNICs, says FIA Director Karachi

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director Karachi Amir Farooqi has revealed half of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Sindh staff is involved in issuing fake CNICs, reported 24News HD TC channel on Thursday. 

The FIA director said that around 4 million fake CNICs had been issued in Sindh. He said that terrorists of TTP, AQIS and nationalists were issued fake CNICs, adding that NADRA had issued fake CNICs to the Afghan nationals, Burmese and Bengalis. 

The FIA director said that the assistant director and deputy director of NADRA were involved in issuing CNICs to the foreigners. 

The political parties also got issued fake CNICs for election purposes. 

The corrupt NADRA officials, while getting the benefit of software and changing in rules, forged the record, he added.
