In a video message uploaded Friday on his Twitter handle, British High Commissioner in Pakistan Christian Turner wished happy Eid to Muslims all over the world with a message to protect environment and fight climate change, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

“Assalam-u-Alaikum friends! Today, I am very happy that I am back in the Northern Areas, in the beautiful mountains. I am absolutely delighted to be back here in the Northern Areas—one of the most beautiful landscapes in Pakistan where I am trekking with my family and friends and enjoying all that it has to offer,” he said.

“But as I see the rising flood waters, the melting glaciers, I know we must work ever hard to protect our environment, to fight climate change and protect our communities. Our world is our responsibility. Wherever you are this Eid, happy Eid to you from me,” he wished happy Eid.
