Swat police have arrested a gang involved in looting tourists from Punjab who were on their recreational trip to northern areas, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Three cases of theft were reported in the last two months. The theft events sent shock waves and a sense of insecurity among tourists who go with family and friends to enjoy the weather at picturesque hilly mountains, however, Swat Police have responded swiftly and arrested the alleged gang members. Swat police personnel arrested the gang members in an hour and saved the Swat tourist industry from the conspiracy.

Swat DPO Dilawar Khan Bangash said that accused gang members are being interrogated and would be treated as per the law. “Swat Police is taking measures to protect the tourists,” he added. A tourist family who was robbed thanked the Swat Police for their quick action on their complaint.
