Whether it is because of some reservations over the decisions taken at the PDM meeting yesterday or any other reason, the top opposition leaders will again meet in Islamabad on Wednesday (today), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to sources, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, PML-N Vice-president Maryam Nawaz and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari are scheduled to have a meeting at 1pm.

The sources added that they agreed for the huddle to deliberate upon the decisions taken at the alliance’s leadership meeting and the possible reservations.

Earlier, Fazl, who is also the PDM head, announced at a press conference yesterday that the steering committee would hold a meeting Tuesday to finalise the details related to the decision taken by the component parties’ leaders.

Hence, this special huddle would be held before the PDM steering committee, which comprises two members each from the 11 parties, meets at 5pm.

It is PML-N Secretary-General Ahsan Iqbal who, being its convenor, will chair the steering committee which is to discuss the issues related to the planned long march like the date and from where different caravans would start their journey as well as a countrywide wheel-jam strike.

On Tuesday, Fazl, ruled out any dialogue with the government and told reporters after the meeting that all the opposition parliamentarians would submit their resignations to their respective parties by December 31.

He vowed that the Lahore rally would be held at Minar-e-Pakistan on December 13 which was going to be the last nail in government’s coffin.

He said the PDM steering committee would discuss matters related to a wheel-jam strike and the long march towards Islamabad.
