Around 20 unidentified men attacked the camp of a construction company in Miramshah in North Waziristan, held 12 labourers hostage and snatched mobile phones and identity cards from them besides setting four vehicles on fire, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Sources in Police told 24News TV channel that the incident took place as the Taj Ali, the company’s contractor, had refused to pay extortion money to the assailants.

Police said they had launched an investigation into the attack.
