Chairman of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) Mahmood Khan Achakzai, who is also Sunni Ittehad Council’s (SIC) nominee for the seat of president, said on Saturday that those sitting on the government benches were small people, while the issues the country was facing were big, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Talking to reports at Parliament House, he said those in the corridors of power did not have understanding of politics.

It is for the first time that Achakzai is vying for the seat of president. His nomination by the SIC came as a surprise because nobody was expecting the party, which now consists of PTI-backed independents, to back him in election for the coveted post.
