PML-N's Shobia Shahid resigns from reserved seat of National Assembly

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz's (PML-N) Sobia Shahid resigned from her reserved seat of the National Assembly, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Saturday.
According to the channel, Sobia Shaid announced her resignation in a media talk outside the National Assembly when the polling process of the presidential election between PPP's Asif Ali Zardari and Opposition's candidate Mehmood Khan Achakzai was continued in the joint session of the parliament.
Sobia Shahid said that she has resigned from the reseerved seat of the National Assembly, adding that she was not leaving her seat in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly.
She was determined that in the presidential elections, her party, the PML-N backed Asif Zardari will win easily.
It is worth mentioning that Sobia Shahid is a Pakistani politician who had been a Member of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on reserved seats for women from August 2018 to January 2023 and from May 2013 to May 2018.
She has a master's degree. In 2024, Sobia threatened to bring a pistol to the Assembly and shoot anyone who speaks against PML-N, and its leader Nawaz Sharif.
