The mentors namely Misbahul Haq of the Wolves Squad, Shoaib Malik of the Stallions, Waqar Younis of the Lions, Sarfaraz Ahmad of Dolphins and Saqlain Mushtaq of the Panthers, while describing the Champions Cup an important tournament for the country’s domestic cricket, gave Naqvi suggestions for the improvement of pitches at Iqbal Cricket Stadium.
The chairman, on the occasion, assured them that steps would be taken to raise the standards of pitches at the stadium as well as of the entire ground.
He also said that there would be the best gyms so that all players could exercise there.
Naqvi hoped that the upcoming tournament would help introduce fresh talent. “These players will then be provided opportunities to further excel based on their performances,” he said, and added, “The Cup will also help identify back-up players for the national cricket team in all three formats of the game.”
