Nine more people have fallen prey to the gushing floods that have wreaked havoc on the areas of Balochistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
According to a Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) report, the death toll due to torrential rains and floods in the province has reached 136.
Those who lost their lives in the recent heavy rains and floods include 56 men, 33 women, and 47 children. Most deaths have been reported in Bolan, Quetta, Zhob, Dukki, and Khuzdar.
Hundreds of houses have been turned into piles of rubble by rains and floods, and thousands of people are forced to spend days and nights under the open sky. The flood-hit people are also facing a shortage of food and water.
10 die in AJK roof collapse incident
At least 10 people died and four others were injured after the roof of a house collapsed on them due to heavy rain in Rawalakot, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
According to the rescue sources, the incident occurred when the deceased were asleep in the house at night.
Women and children were among the deceased. The injured were rushed to a hospital.
It was learnt that two families were living there in the house the roof of which collapsed in rain.
AJK Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan expressed grief and condolence over the demise of the people in the roof collapse incident.
He also directed the administration to ensure all possible assistance to the heirs of the victims.
3 women die in Takht Bhai roof collapse incident
Three women died while four other people were injured after the roof of a room collapsed on them in Takht Bhai, Mardan district.
The injured were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital for medical treatment.
Several cities of Punjab have been submerged amid heavy monsoon rains.
It has been reported that people are moving to safe places in the villages of Jhang.
In Rangpur, the low-lying areas are under water due to flood in Chenab River. People are facing difficulties due to closure of roads.
Islamabad is expected to remain partly cloudy with gusty winds and thundershower, according to the Meteorological Department.
In Punjab, areas including Potohar, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Okara and Gujranwala are likely to receive more rains with strong winds and thundershower.
Similarly, areas including Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Faisalabad, Sahiwal and Dera Ghazi Khan are also likely to receive more rain with gusty winds and thundershower.
Moreover, heavy rain is expected at few places in Sialkot, Narowal and Lahore, according to the Meteorological Department.
In Balochistan, areas including Zhob, Ziarat, Musakhail, Qila Abdullah and Pishin are likely to receive more rains with gusty winds and thunderstorm.
Similarly, rain with thunderstorm is likely in areas including Barkhan, Loralai, Kohlu, Quetta, Sibi and Chaman.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Weather
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, areas including Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Dir, Swat, Chitral and Kohistan are likely to receive more rain with strong winds and thunderstorm, the Meteorological Department said.
Similarly, areas including Peshawar, Kohat, Waziristan, Kurram, Bajaur, Khyber, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan are also likely to receive more rain with gusty winds and thundershower.
AJK and GB Weather
In Kashmir, areas including Bhimbar, Kotli, Mirpur, Sidhnoti, Poonch, Bagh, Haveli, Hattian Bala, Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley are likely to receive rain with strong winds and thundershower.
Similarly, Gilgit-Baltistan is also expected to remain cloudy with gusty winds and thundershowers, according to the Meteorological Department.
Weather in Sindh will remain hot and humid, according to the Meteorological Department.
Areas including Karachi, Thattha, Mithi and suburbs may get rain with strong winds and thunderstorm.
