No step regarding Senate elections without allies’ nod: PM

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leaders called on Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday, and discussed with him matters pertaining to the Senate elections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
PML-Q delegation was represented by Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Moonis Elahi and Tariq Bashir Cheema while Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pervez Khattak and Shafqat Mahmood from the government side were in attendance.
PM Imran assured members of the PML-Q delegation that the government would take its allies on board before taking any step in connection with the Senate elections.
PM Imran, on the occasion, approved the name of Kamil Ali Agha from PML-Q as a joint candidate for the Senate elections.
He, on the occasion, also formed a three-member committee, comprising Punjab CM Usman Buzdar, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, to chalk out a strategy for winning elections for the upper house of parliament.
The prime minister, on the occasion, accepted the invitation given by Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi to inaugurate the new Punjab Assembly building.
