Warning! Tourists advised to be careful

The tourists have been warned to be careful as landslides due to downpours and snowfall have been feared in the upper parts.


Due to moderate to heavy rain/snowfall, landslides and disruption in communications have been feared in Murree, Galiyat, Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, Hunza, Skardu, Neelam Valley, Bagh and Poonch and Haveli on


Due to moderate to heavy rain/snowfall, landslides and disruption in communications have been feared in Murree, Galiyat, Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, Hunza, Skardu, Neelam Valley, Bagh and Poonch and Haveli on February 1.


Reportedly, tourists thronged Murree and other upper parts following the snowfall. The Meteorological Department said the snowfall is likely to continue in the upper parts intermittently.


Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are expected to remain cloudy, with gusty winds and thundershowers and chances of rain and snowfall. Heavy rain/snowfall is also expected at a few places during this time on Thursday.


The Met Office forecast Islamabad and surrounding districts are expected to remain partly cloudy with chances of thundershowers. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, there are chance of rain/snowfall and thundershowers with strong winds in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Ma La Kund, Abbottabad, Balakot, Mansehra, Haripur, Swabi, Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera.


The Met Office said the weather will remain partly cloudy in the upper districts of Punjab. There are chances of thundershowers with strong winds in Attock, Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujarat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Lahore, Kasur, Sialkot, Narowal, Jhang and Faisalabad while fog fall is likely in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Okara, Multan, Khanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan and surroundings


Weather will remain cold and dry in most districts of Balochistan during the day while in the evening there is a chance of rain with strong winds and thundershowers in Chagai, Kharan,  Panjgur, Kech and Gwadar during the evening/night.
