Zardari, Shehbaz and Mohsin Naqvi felicitate nation on Pakistan's victory against Australia

Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday congratulated the national cricket team after it completed a clean sweep of the Twenty20 series against Australia, 24NewsHD TV reported. 

President Asif Ali Zardari extended congratulations to the nation and the team, saying the whitewash reflected collective hard work and professional planning.

He said the national side had brought pride to Pakistan by displaying responsibility, cohesion, and confidence on the field.

The president also commended the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), particularly Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, for the team’s standout achievement.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif likewise congratulated the nation on the series victory and lauded the team’s all-round performance.

He said Pakistan had played exceptional cricket to win all matches of the T20 series, highlighting the players’ excellence in batting, bowling, and fielding.

“The victory was made possible by the players’ discipline, dedication, and strong team spirit,” the prime minister said, paying tribute to PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, the players, and team management.

He expressed hope that the winning momentum would continue in future assignments.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi also congratulated the national team, saying the players demonstrated exemplary teamwork to secure victories in all three matches. He described the series win as the result of tireless effort and consistent hard work.

Naqvi praised head coach Mike Hesson, captain Salman Ali Agha, and the entire squad, calling the achievement against a strong Australian side a commendable feat.

He said the team delivered outstanding performances throughout the series and noted that cricket fans rightly expected such high standards from the national side.
