Punjab sets another example of tax collection

Bearing with the deadly pandemic, the Punjab Revenue Authority has set an example of collecting the tax more than the set target.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the provincial team collected Rs144.01 billion revenue while authority was assigned with the task of collecting Rs125 billion for the ongoing year.
The Lahore chapter’s contribution to the achievement is beyond expectation as it collected up to Rs474 billion while the target was Rs447billion.
According to the authority, it also set the example last year and its target was set more than the previous year. The teams exhibited the same spirit although the deadly coronavirus kept on the prowl, registering a collection of Rs08.571 billion during the financial year 2019-20 against the revised target of Rs105 billion.
It has registered a vibrant growth in tax collection and set a precedent for other provenances, it added.
