A man lost his life after an explosion caused by a gas leak ripped through an office in North Nazimabad area of Karachi on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to fire-brigade personnel, the blast occurred in an office of computer equipment and it badly damaged the roof and the wall.

Sources in police said the deceased was a watchman at the office.

After getting information, a heavy contingent of Rangers and police along with ambulances of the rescue department rushed to the explosion site.

They also called the bomb disposal squad to the site as a precaution.
