Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) President Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his reservations over the differences on water share between provinces, forewarning that the issue could entail dangerous implications, reported 24NewsHD Tv Channel.

In a statement in Lahore on Tuesday, Mr Shehbaz said that the present water share row between Punjab and Sindh was lamentable. He said water apportionment was a sensitive affair and warned that the disagreement could lead to a dangerous situation.

He criticized the federal government and Indus River System Authority saying both had failed to play their due roles. He said protests in Sindh on water shortages did not bode well.

He asked Prime Minister Imran Khan Niazi not to put the unity and security of federating units at stake.
