PIA special flight to Netherlands next week, tweets ambassador
Netherlands Ambassador to Pakistan Wouter Plomp said on Friday that a special flight of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will take Dutch citizens stranded in Pakistan to their home country next week.
In his video message on Twitter on Friday, Plomp said he would like to thank the Pakistani authorities, the Foreign Ministry and the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for making arrangements for repatriation of Dutch citizens from Pakistan to their home country.
Plomp said, “We are in a difficult situation due to the coronavirus outbreak. The entire world, including Pakistan and the Netherlands, has been affected by the coronavirus.” He said the Netherlands Embassy in Pakistan was working for repatriation of the Dutch citizens to their home country.
He however said the Netherlands Embassy in Pakistan has suspended its visa service in Pakistan amid the pandemic. He said the Netherlands Embassy is working for repatriation of Dutch citizens from Pakistan and he was hopeful that the pandemic and the bad patch would be over soon.
