Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has said the flash floods are caused by climate change, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

Where there was an estimate of 25 percent, there was more than 400% of downpour, the minister said, adding that Rs1 million will be given to the family of a decease while the survivors will be provided with Rs500,000 for house reconstruction.

The Prime Minister has okayed a grant of 20 billion rupees for the provinces of Balochistan and KP, she said adding that a total of 15 billion rupees has been distributed to affected families so far and Sindh got a grant of Rs15  billion.
