Katie Price and Kerry Katona want daughters to join Love Island amid ‘nepo baby’ debate

Katie Price and Kerry Katona have revealed they would love to see their teenage daughters appear on Love Island, saying it would be a 'fun adventure' and a continuation of their family’s reality TV legacy.

In a new interview with The Sun, the former glamour model and Atomic Kitten singer confessed they’re open, even enthusiastic, about their daughters Princess Andre, 18, and Heidi Croft, 18, joining the cast of the hit ITV2 dating show.

Katie, 47, who shares Princess with ex-husband Peter Andre, said: “I always say Love Island, Heidi and Princess need to do it together.” The pair, who have remained close friends over the years, seemed in complete agreement on the idea.

Kerry, 44, backed the suggestion, adding: “The way I see it is, forget management, forget fame, what an amazing memory, what an amazing adventure.”

Both women rose to fame in the early 2000s through reality TV and celebrity culture, and say they see no harm in their daughters following a similar path, especially with modern platforms offering even more visibility and opportunities.

Addressing the ongoing ‘nepo baby’ debate — a term used to describe children of celebrities who benefit from their parents' fame, Kerry didn’t mince words.

“Everyone talks about nepotism, right? But everyone has a contact. I can open a door for you, but whether you get through that door and stay through it, that’s on your own f***ing merit,” she said.

Kerry further defended the idea by pointing out that her and Katie’s careers created a platform for their children. “This is our family business, this is what we do as a family,” she insisted, adding that success still depends on talent and hard work.

Katie’s daughter Princess has already taken her first steps into the entertainment world. She launched The Princess Diaries, a behind-the-scenes reality series with ITV, and recently graced the cover of OK! Magazine for her milestone 18th birthday. Despite being only a teenager, Princess is reportedly worth around £500,000, with brand sponsorships earning her up to £3,800 per post — and she’s set her sights even higher, claiming she wants to become a millionaire by the age of 20.
