Tamkenat Mansoor warns tourists to avoid Pakistan's northern areas during rainy season
Tamkenat Mansoor has issued a travel advisory in her trademark blend of wit and wisdom, urging people to avoid travelling to Pakistan's northern areas amid ongoing flash floods and landslides.
In a video shared on her social media platforms, the doctor-turned-comedian addressed her followers in her signature style, warning against visiting mountainous regions currently affected by extreme weather.
“The mountains are asking you to stay home,” she said. Her message struck a chord, and the clip was shared widely.
The advisory comes in the wake of multiple fatalities due to landslides and flash floods triggered by monsoon rains in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
Tamkenat, known for blending healthcare awareness with humour and social commentary, stressed that while scenic getaways are tempting during holidays, safety must come first.
“Landslide-prone areas are no-go zones right now. Please put off your trips and avoid risking your life and the lives of locals,” she added.
Local authorities have already issued warnings against travel to northern regions where several roads have been damaged or blocked due to rain-triggered landslides. Tamkenat’s video has amplified that call, especially among travellers who might otherwise ignore conventional advisories.
Tamkenat Mansoor began her journey as a healthcare content creator, using her medical background to educate the public on wellness and disease prevention. Over time, she became a different voice combining medicine, comedy, and activism.
