Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former premier  Nawaz Sharif, has asked her party lawmakers to report the leadership about calls from unknown callers to influence the upcoming Senate election.

MPAs or MNAs who receive calls from unknown numbers or caller ID withheld must report to their respective leadership, the PML-N vice president said on Twitter Monday.

“The callers must be named and shamed,” she insisted in her tweet.

Former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi too talked about the issue during a TV programme.  

Any call from an unknown ID will be made public, he said adding that in past such steps were taken to manipulate the elections, he added.
