Registration for Aetkaf at Masjid al-Haram, Masjid-e-Nabawi to start on March 5

The General Authority set up for registering people who have to sit for Aetkaf at Masjid al-Haram  (Grand Mosque) in Mecca and Masjid-e-Nabawi in Medina in the last 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan has announced to start the registration from Wednesday (March 5), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday. 

In a statement, the Authority has said that those aspiring to sit for Aetkaf can register themselves on the Authority’s portal from 11:00 AM on Wednesday.  

It has been further said in the statement that the registration will continue until and unless the target set is not met. 

The Authority goes on to say that then it will grant permission to the aspirants as per the rules and regulations. 

“Those who will be issued permits will be able to sit in the Grand Mosque and Masjid-e-Nabawi on the 20th of Ramadan,” it has said.   

It is pertinent to mention here that all facilities are provided to those who sit for Aetkaf.

In this connection, every person is issued a special card. 

Besides that a locker is also provided to each of them.
